Quality Inn - Ocean Shores, WA (May 1997 to May 2007 to Current) Decade Serving as Guest Services Agent / Front Desk Sales Clerk The time that I have spent working for OceanSide, Inc., first at the Days Inn for three years (and OceanSide Lodge), and now for the past five years at the Quality Inn, have been the best years of my life. I feel that I have given this company my best, and I know that they appreciate it. I also feel that I learned the most under their employ, from the first moment of my job, to the present. Customer Service is ALWAYS a learning experience. I feel the most important thing about learning to serve people is to give of yourself, and make people feel like you acknowledge and respect them. Working in the hospitality industry in a tourist area, I have learned to have as much fun as the vacationers while helping them try to have a great time on their vacation. Ocean Shores Reservation Bureau - Ocean Shores, WA 3 Years Serving as Front Desk Clerk / Reservation Agent I worked for a multi-faceted office that managed two time share condominiums, one hotel, and a reservation bureau for all of ocean shores, performing daily tasks at the front desk, answering phones, taking reservations, checking guests in and out, cleaning the office, etc.. I also worked part-time in housekeeping, and worked on the computers for the manager whenever they needed help with repairs or installation and training for a new piece of software. I was first introduced to these books by a co-worker in my hometown of Aberdeen. I was always interested in exercise and nutrition, I used to drink gobs of Orange Juice (from concentrate), and I worked out every day and night. The Fit For Life series of books, literally changed my life overnight. I read Fit For Life, in one night, and the NEXT DAY, I was eating fresh fruit and determined to buy a juice machine. I also found The Market Place (local health food store) in Aberdeen, and became a regular shopper.
As I mentioned in the above paragraph, I loved to exercise daily...then I saw the commercials for the SOLOFLEX!!! What an awesome machine, I fell in love and didn't manage to own one until October of 2000. A friend of mine from high school ran an ad in the local newspaper, and I bought it from her the next day, after owning this workout machine for a few months, my body started to take the shape that I wanted. I also have freeweights, and use those daily as well as a small treadmill in my living room. Although, NOW I own a BOWFLEX ULTIMATE, and I have been using that for one year and a half now, and it's a bit more stable than the SOLOFLEX, but I love both machines, and recommend either or both to anyone serious about fitness in their home.
The Fit For Life series of books mentioned above are what really educated me, and therefore motivated me to want to drink the enzyme-rich, high-vitamin and mineral content in fresh fruit and vegetable juices. UNCOOKED, UNPASTEURIZED, FRESH JUICE is the key to vital health and stamina in exercise. I believe every human on the planet should be drinking at least one liter per day of juices from fruits and vegetables. JUICE! I have owned a variety of juicers, including the Juiceman, Juiceman II, Vita-mix (mentioned below), Champion Juicer, and little squeezers for small citrus of lime and lemons for mixing with drinks or wine.
Another major milestone for my natural health development was the purchase of the Vita-Mix machine! What an awesome machine! I wish that Young Living would affiliate with Vita-Mix and sell their machines because they are AWESOME! I grind my own fresh flour from grain every other day now, and make fresh bread in my home with a bread machine! There is nothing like making your own bread for lunch and dinner! There are many health benefits to producing your own flour also, as this is the highest quality flour possible!
Yes, I found this invention online a few years ago, and have been making my own soy milk ever since, and it's wonderful! I've always enjoyed soy milk, but making it at home is awesome, because it is FRESH, and you don't store it for very long, and no extra vitamins or minerals added! I realized that soy milk is actually soy bean soup, when I started making it at home, so now I make bean soup from all kinds of beans, and the drinks are wonderful!
One of my friends, that I happen to do web design for, Sherri Oliver of Ceremonies on the Shore, here in Ocean Shores, WA, introduced me to Young Living by offering me some samples of their products. I tried a wolfberry crisp bar, and some of the ningxia red juice, as well as a sample of lavender oil, which I didn't use at first!! Finally, I decided to invest in the starter kit from Young Living, because I loved the Ningxia Red Juice, and was very impressed with the label on the sample she gave me! (Being into only FRESH juices, I was very skeptical, but loved the flavor and was mostly impressed with the ingredients) So I decided to purchase the Ningxia Red Starter Kit, and a few oil blends that were relatively inexpensive. I also hounded Sherri's mother to borrow their diffuser, which they loaned to me when I got my starter kit! I loved diffusing, and the oils were so neat to read about. I didn't realize what I had in my possession, until I started putting together the folder of information that Young Living provides in their starter kits, and by reading Gary Young's Essential Oil Desk Reference. I knew I had something extra special in my possession, and wanted to have more! So I immediately signed up my roommate, buying him an ART starter kit, and he's on the autoship program also now, which is great! And I bought my mother an essential oil starter kit, and we placed a large oil purchase together, but she's not quite ready for autoship yet...but she does use the oils, and she purchased a diffuser. I also do web design, and usually can put together a nice web site for any small business for under $100. Some web sites with lots of options and graphics could be between $100 and $200. Just let me know, web design is EASY for me, as I also enjoy computer programming in my SPARE TIME! (Whatever that is).
